Another fantastic track from the Tamla Motown Connoisseurs album. This is my all time favourite Isley Brothers tune.

There is an instrumental version of this (The backing track of this, done by, of course, Motown's formidable House Band, THE FUNK BROTHERS) that was used in the 1970's-1980's for WFLD-TV 32's Late Night Movies back home in Chicago.

Cried, listening to this bought back so many fond memories of my friends,, some gone now, Remember listening to this in 1969 sitting around a Dansette, all of us gobbed smacked at its beautiful melodies and lyrics. Stevie Wonder / Ivy Hunter composition. Genius's. Thanks for putting this on You Tube, made my year.

Gorgeous track!! It's a bit slower than the Smokey Robinson & The Miracles version though. But this version is much more prettier, IMO.
