One person is just jealous that THEY didn't get a variation written about them.

@jeffamarie That, good sir, was beautiful.

@Hamgammy Well, you can't succeed unless you have confidence in your work, and a lot of people who are in a position to be easily jealous often mistake that confidence for pretentiousness. Wagner and Beethoven are great, but so is every other composer that millions of people have loved, by virtue of the number of people they've inspired. The greatest art isn't the object or sound itself, it's the resonance to people long after the artist is gone.

Along with Karl Jung and the proto-Hegelians.

@jeffamarie well Terrence Mallick is a pretentious fag and he has created timeless works of art in the opinions of many. It's all based on opinion really. Frankly I think Mozart sucks, save the Jupiter Symphony. I hold Wagner and Beethoven in the highest regard though.

@Hamgammy That's pretty good... when Elgar is a pretentious fag, he creates timeless works of art lol is that what you're saying? You can't really say anything about the piece, because it belongs to so many performers and listeners that you're insulting an unstoppable mob. Good luck with life.
-
@yako165 no. seriously what faggot composer models an entire piece after the mannerisms of his friends? pretentious much? the whole thing is so contrived and disgustingly purposefully eloquent. what a fag!
-
@Hamgammy Troll fail?
-
