  • These are great XD But, um question, I heard something referring to a baby as "aka-chan" once. Why is this? :O

  • @eggshapedcarrot " aka"'s kanji is "赤”, "aka-chan"'s kanji is" 赤ちゃん” Although they both look the same for the "aka" part, they mean totally different things.

  • Hello hola konichiwa. How are you? I like your channel just one question? I'd like to know to say "my favorite color is green" or something similar I know sometimes you can not translated as is, if is something similar it's ok.. Thank you, Gracias, arigatou gozaimasu sensei...

  • @7thelordismyshepherd : "My favorite color is green" in japanese is " wa ta shi no yi chi bang suki na yiro wa midori desu". You can also say, " midori ga suki desu" which means "I like green."

  • I learned the colors slightly different..

    black - kuroi

    white - shiroi

    orange - orenjiiro

    red - akai

    blue - aoi

    Is there any significant difference?

  • @CyberDoodles kuro, ao, shiro, etc. are nouns, kuroi, aoi, shiroi, etc. are adjectives, so depending on the situation you can use one or the other

  • So many of the colors are names of Japanese people. My friend had told me that almost every japanese name has a literal meaning. I was just a bit surprised how such common english words can translate to a Japanese name. Now I'm interested to know the literal meaning of names like Akamaru and Aoi. This also explains why almost every anime character named Murasaki has either purple hair or eyes xD.

  • midori is delicious

  • how do i say "i fly for Sri Lankan Airlines" or "i work for Sri Lankan airlines as a Pilot"

  • You are very beautiful. Thanks for the lesson in colors. =D

  • Also Green things go by Blue sometimes.

A green traffic light and a green apple are spoken as they are blue, even though Japanese people know the difference. I forget the reason why though sorry :p

  • So... If pink is actually "momoiro" which means (I think, I'm not good at japanese) "peach color", since "momo" is "peach", and there is an "iro" at the end of "deideiiro"... Is deideiiro also named after a fruit or something? =D

  • あたしの好きな色は青、緑と茶色です(^ ^)

  • what did you say lastly before mata ne?.. =)

  • thanks for your film arigato gazaimasu ! : D
