Polo Colon addresses Chancellor Joel Klein

The fat, lazy, stinking union is the reason why Polo, and countless others, have either been reassigned, put in the "rubber rooms" or flat out been fired. Until we vote Randi, and the lazy, apathetic bums, out of UFT leadership, nothing will be done to set things right. If teachers won't do it, then no one else in a school building, guidance, administration, support staff, etc., will.

Bravo to this brave Whistle-blower and all NYC owes Mr. Colon its deepest gratitude and respect. The fact that Mr. Klein refused to respond to Mr. Colon's clearly articulated questions, except by way of his customary evasive non response to the issues raised by Mr. Colon speaks volumes about the NYC Dept of Education. These Hearings are well known to represent an exercise in futility. Fortunately NYC taxpayers can still seek Justice in Federal Court as another Whiste-blower is now doing.

We love you Polo, you're the best! Your honesty, integrity and love for your students has been always above and beyond. There is NO doubt that you are speaking the truth, hoping that your supervisors will do the right thing. Sadly, again, dysfunction reigns here and liars DON'T have their pants on fire (yet!!!) eventually, though, the truth will surface and you will be vindicated. love, Chrissy

So true, but what is going on in NY's public schools is or will be going on in the entire country. Tenure laws are being subverted in order for school districts to get rid of more expensive hires, including denying tenure to younger teachers so that they never become vested in the pensions. Unfortunately, our "reformers" don't care about this, for people like Klein are exactly the kind of people they want.

I have tried to post comments twice and I do not see them posted. KUDOS to the brave Polo Colon. You speak for teachers throughout the system. Keep up the fight!

God bless PoloColon for his bravery and courage to continue to press for justice. I too was railroaded for whistleblowing to protect the students, and I was retaliated against and put on a "blacklist" called an "Inquiry list" cheated out of my salary and my compensation for a line of duty injury, for reporting it and other safety violations. NYC has been committing white collar crimes in abundance under Bloomberg and Klein and must be stopped!

Joel Klein is NOT the mayor but the Chancellor of New York City Schools; the equivalent of the superintendent a school district. Let's just say that I know how corrupt the schools are here in NYC.

It's apparent from the facial and body expressions of Joel Klein that he's NOT very interested in what Polo Colon has to say.
THIS is a SCHOOLS CHANCELLOR? WHY was the PRINCIPAL of the school that Mr. Colon was speaking about NOT censured? Mr. Klein has a LOT to answer for, not the least of which is his patronizing attitudes towards teachers that are trying to do the right thing for the DOE students and the system.
Mr. Klein: ISN'T IT ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN? Doesn't appear to be this way.

It's mayors like Mr. Klein who deserve to be kicked out of the United States of America. What an idiot....
PoloColon:
Keep up the hard work...so too are we attorneys here in MA.
Sincerely Yours,
Gina
PS: No, you are wrong with your last statement. SOMETHING WILL BE DONE. That's not a threat against Mr. Klein; that's a fact.
In reply to MissBonditt, thank you so very much! Of course, you especially know that when you do the right thing and try to right the wrong, they come after you like vampires disturbed from the bloodfeast, so then, you know how rare it is for kudos to come your way. I thank you, but I have to say that the thanks always goes to God first with all glory all praise and all honor!

The allegations are PROVEN. Klein knowingly misrepresented the facts!

It is interesting that your statement is made and no media ever picked it up. It is also interesting that Klein rushes to point out that allegations are not sufficient for removing a principal ( to a principal reassignment room) or evidently even of investigating her, but allegations are sufficient to reassign teachers and to ruin their careers. As one reassigned person put it: You mean a principal can say any s--- and get away with it.
