Yeah, when I talked to Edward some 10 years ago or so, he said this is likely one of his best songs. Nice arrangement if compared with original CD issue, I like both. This one is a bit faster, more straightforward, similar to live shows, on 2CD is crystalic and soft sound, a bit longer "chaotic" middle part. Pity, that these greatest songs are a bit over nowadays, but wait for further inspirations of Edward.

@sex6cult9revolution I was lucky enough to see them on November 11, 1998 at the Metro in Chicago. As I recall this was one of the encores. What an amazing show !

I only saw this the first time I saw them and didn't yet know the track. The next time I saw them, me and a friend we're yelling at them to play this, but to no avail. Later, we were talking with Phil (Silverman) and he said they had been doing it on that tour (Perfect Mystery/2000), but just didn't feel like it that night. Drats!

Spring could be 3 to 5 billion years from now, when we are likely to marry Andromeda. She carries 1 trillion starry jewels with her.
Our solar system could be tossed out of the Milky Way--but by then the Earth would be unlivable for our current biology. The Sun will be close to inflating into a red giant, although it's not massive enough to explode. Instead, it will shed layers of itself in a brilliant and dramatic display that might be seen by other beings on other planets.
Sing while you may

Twelve years on, this version of this song still utterly terrifies and bewilders me.
My absolute favorite recording.
