  • All I can say is wow! That is hard core. What dredge are you using? I am thinking about buying a Keene 3", it looks like that one.

  • That is a 3" keene combination unit which we modified a little bit over the years.

Stop by our website for more info sometime.

You will definately like the combination units versatily.

    Good luck prospecting too!

  • where are you working?

  • Hi petro,

We are working a small high elevation stream in the Colorado moutains south west of Denver.

This spot happens to be on a private location claim I helped the claim owner file on NF land. Stop by our website for more info sometime.

  • It's just cool anyway you want to talk about it. Nice Video!!

  • Hi Montana,

Thanks, we are ready for some warm days to get out again. Been way too cold too long here LOL.

  • AWESOME!! Your Wife works and you sit on the lawn chair. You should get DISH and watch the Broncos!!! Keep digging great video

  • Actually it in fact is dredging. According to the US gov. Dredging is the removal of material from the bottom of lakes, rivers, harbors and other water bodies.

The unit used is a "combination" highbanker/dredge. Running as shown is dredging with a suction nozzle. Commonly called "long arm dredging".

As a highbanker the pressure hose feeds directly to the header box and one shovels dry "highbench" material into the box and this is done away from the creek.

  • @LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 yes because you don't want to be freezing but you'll also need a wet suit in order to keep dry but also warm as well.

  • do you need a dry suit for winter?

  • LMAO

  • Enjoyed seeing this. I used an old wood sluce box that I made when I was 14 in the creek w. of Black Hawk. I had never seen one like this. john

  • Thanks I will. Were in Fort Collins and are about to buy a 4". We have our eye on the Willow Creek area but are having a hard time dealing with the Arapaho Forest requirements. We have more or less got the green light from the BLM just by following their rules. But that area is split between forest and BLM. Also are working on a permit for the arkansas river. But are still looking for our summer spot. P.S. Be carefull on the ice I'm out of work right now because I fell 3 WEEKS AGO!!!
