Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000 (Gameplay #2)

Here's a more properly sized gameplay clip from the second level of the Marine campaign in the newly released "Classic 2000" version of Rebellion's Aliens vs Predator.

Although I remember the game being quite good at establishing an authentic "Aliens" vibe, it was really nice to rediscover just how tense and scary the gameplay still is (especially when playing as a Marine). One of the game's coolest features is the semi-random placement of enemies, which increases the suspense further by making sure the player can never be quite sure when or where the aliens are going to attack, and no one playthrough will be exactly like the one before.

damn this game is only $1.25 on steam today, is it worth it ??

@ThePenguinProduction Hell, just about any game is worth $1.25 as long as it doesn't, say, inevitably crash on start-up (also, Cryostasis for less than $5 seems like another great shooter deal on Steam right now). Whether you'll like the AvP game or not is mostly going to depend on whether you value a highly atmospheric experience as well as steep challenge and also don't mind fairly repetitive level design. AvP 2000 is not for everyone, but it's at least a minor classic in the genre.

Anyone else sh*t a brick while playing as Marine?

sign up? you don't have to pay a monthly fee, so I don't see the problem,

steam is great to be honest... it's free and you get voice over integrated to any game so you can chat or call your friends while you play.

I personally can't be bothered with dvd's nomore, I'm too used to having my games update themselves hassle free,

and when I travel I can log in to my steam account and download my games again for free and play them anywhere.

I don't work at valve ;) btw

On the first level being a alien , how do you get out of that temple thingy, i see a hole far above me in the wall but how do i get there ?

you should check out the alien vs predator requiem mod for this game its realy easy to install and it adds really cool new skins and sounds.
