Another video sharing one of the many books that helped me in my life and career. I am on open and proud introvert-centrovert! However, it wasn't always that way. I used to think there was something wrong with me because I wasn't as openly enthusiastic or social as my extrovert friends. It was a struggle since college to understand why I didn't want to hang out all the time or socialize like my other friends did. It also put a strain on a couple of relationships because of the misinterpretation of my introvert ways as a lack of interest in the relationship.

I finally decided to figure out why I acted this way and how it could be fixed. I purchased the book "Networking for People Who Hate Networking: A Field Guide for Introverts, the Overwhelmed, and the Underconnected" by Devora Zack (# ISBN-10: 1605095222 # ISBN-13: 978-1605095226) and my life has forever been changed! I'm a bit of a centrovert as well. I have my moments of both sides. Also, I feel a lot better because my hair has been really dry too lately! It's not even that cold in Houston but the humidity is dying down and I'm noticing a difference in my hair. One quick question for you Whitney, How do you handle single strand knots? I feel like they're ganging up on me and are becoming a bit of a nuisance. Take care! :D

Im an introvert who doesnt really like reading. I enjoy listening to a lot of music. and alot of people ask me why i always have my ear buds in my ear whenever i talk to them. but for me it gets rid of a lot of the awkwardness whenever im talking with someone. for me talking with people is more awkward when the environment is silent. and also sometimes i run out of things to say.... Do you think i should get into reading books. ive never been a book person. I always fall asleep when reading.

i bought this book & i'm halfway finished...i find that this book rambles a little bit and is slightly redundant but perhaps that's for emphasis?! The points are really drilled in strongly and it has reinforced as well as given me some some EXCELLENT communication tips & strategies...certain things said in this book validate my personality and ways. It's been great reading those things because i'm like "YES!! I'm not the only one!" :) I am embracing my introverts!
