  • I would have bought this if the app store reviews for it weren't so obviously faked. Almost every one reads like an infomercial pitch instead of an honest review. I mean come on, they all RAVE about the sound. OF A DICE GAME?!?! Really?!?! Plus most of the reviews are paragraphs long and written like the reviewer had been waiting a lifetime for a dice game like this. Seriously, nobody gets THAT excited about dice.

Honestly I want this but I'm not buying it out of principle now.

Hello, you should take a look at my references in audio post production: hessburg (dot) com

Then you might get an idea why people are so excited about the sound of the game.

The "faked" reviews are not faked, I'm from germany and I have no access to the US Store at all. I guess people who like dice games like it because it's one of the best dice games on the store.

  • @MarkHessburg

It took almost 4 month to develop the game, I guess most people would also say "4 Months for a DICE GAME? Nobody needs 4 months for a dice game!" but you need 4 months when you want to do a really good 3D dice game instead of just pushing another stupid game out just to make cash as quickly as possible.

Just look at the review the game got from iphoneitalia (dot) com - they say exactly the same what the customers say.

  • @MarkHessburg look, I'm sure the sounds are amazing, but that doesn't change the fact that it's seems a little unusual that people would be making such a big deal about the sound of a dice game.

Plus all the reviews are LONG. Who writes that much about a simple dice simulator? It might be the most amazing dice game ever, but I wouldn't expect every reviewer to write such long reviews.

I might be wrong, and I apologize if I am, it just LOOKS like most of the reviews are fake sales pitches.

  • @CaptainVicStevens

Please just check the toucharcade forums you will find at least one of my customers in the Newton's Dice Thread there who added the game to his forum signature, you will also find the same name (i think it was EMTKING) in the AppStore reviews with a long review. I am also wondering about people writing long and good reviews - today I even posted the newest review the game got from a customer in the toucharcade thread because it was so unbelievable good.

  • @CaptainVicStevens And a few days ago I've got an email from someone who bought both of my Apps on the same day (I never thought this effect would happen) - he asked me a question about my App and in the next email he said how much he loves the game and that he will write a review for both. I checked checked my reviews and his one for newtons dice was (translated) "This is a Masterpiece of Mark Hessburg" - I thought "wow" but I also thought THIS sounds like a fake but it is not a fake.

  • I wonder how many takes were needed to land that apple in the cup.

  • @MarkHessburg I mean look around the app store, 99% of the reviews are along the lines of "OMGZ I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!" Occasionally you'll see longer more in depth reviews for apps that are really deep. But this is a simple dice simulator right? I'm sure it's probably the best one out there and I'm sure it's amazing, but I'm having a hard time picturing people getting SOOO excited about it that every reviewer is going to give a big long glowing review of it.

  • love the apple...

  • Excellent video & brilliant game!
