I'm almost out of warranty on my Macbook, so I went and had my power cable that was falling apart where it goes into the brick last night at the Apple store. Since I am almost out of warranty, and don't feel like paying $60 for a new one if it happens again, I'm trying a little modification on my brand new one to see if it helps. Of course if it was just my original one being defective, then it might not matter, but worth a shot.
Very smart. Now I wish I'd done this with the other end of my connector.

So what have you done excatly? You added a spring to the cable so it doesn't fray?
