  • Like it seemed to me that the women were all on their back, with their legs in the air and this is not how all women would like to be but it is easier on the hospital workers. Here in the uk, it seems to be much more about what the woman wants. If you want to be kneeling on your bed (kind of on all fours) then you can, if you want a water birth you can have that. It just seems to be a bit more natural but you are still in a hospital in case something does happen

  • @KatPotter71 That is great that moms in the UK have more choices regarding pushing in hospitals. Yes, in the US they tend to get mom in the "stranded beetle" position. That is what the staff is used to. However I have seen moms push in different positions in the hospital. It is totally possible here too!

  • this video is really making me super excited for when i go into labor. I have the book ' hypnobabies' and I have been working on the techniques they say to use and when I was having strong contractions the other day it really helped me focus. My sister looked at me like I was nuts because I wasn't freaking out at all. I am so ready for this.

  • @AsemoVundrafeh I love that you are so excited about birthing your baby!

You probably have the HypnoBirthing book, which is different than Hypnobabies, which is either a live course or a complete home study course with 6 CDs and 3 workbooks. Just wanted to clarify that.

    Have a great birth!!! :)

  • Does it hurt less giving birth this way?

  • @acorral2016 Using Hypnobabies can help birth be more comfortable. All them moms in this video were using Hypnobabies.

  • Thumbs up to thank our mothers! they risked their lives to make us exist :D

  • i just really like how calm the midwife/doula makes the atmosphere. i see her smiling, being calm. in a hospital i can imagine being terrified, looking up at doctors whose faces are hidden behind their masks. i dont want children right now, but if i ever did, i would want to have them this way. thank you so much.

  • What a supportive husband!

  • I have not given birth myself so I do not have experience of this myself, however I have watched many birthing videos and in particular I have watched a show called 'One Born Every Minute'. This is a show here in the uk, where cameras have been placed in a maternity unit. I have watched both the UK and the USA and I would like to point out something I have noticed. It seems to me that in hospitals in the states, you have far less control over how you give birth.

  • @EnjoyBirth yeah I wish there were actual classes in my area but Chicago is too far away. I sadly can't even find a decent midwife or doula. :(

  • This is why i want a mid-wife and a home water-birth. They are so calm and caring, and they seem like they make the atmosphere so comfortable. In hospitals it just seems like it would be terrifying.

  • @EnjoyBirth I think that if I ever have kids I will scream if I want to!!! I will probaly have a home birth though
