@elvislover9 no it wasnt the real buddy. He died in 1959 ages only 22. this is the live music story that has been touring around britain and america. I would advise you to go and see it it portrays his live to the full what shit he had to put up with and how he met maria elena his wife who was pregnant at the time of the plane crash. It is bar far the best music ever. Much better then the crap now in 2011 RIP Buddy, ritchie and jp xxx

@elvislover9 Buddy holly was a rock and roll singer in the 1950's. He died in a plane crash at the age of 22 alongside with ritchie valen and jp the big bopper. It was one of the sadest days ever my dad told me. Im only 21 years old and buddy is my favourite singer, songwriter. It such a shame he dies when he did. He had such talent. Their plane crashed just after take off on feb 3 1959 the day the music died. RIP Xxx
