It was very touching to know that Filipinos from different walks of life can give strength to each other in times like these. Moments after hearing that my sister Hazel was safe (and sleeping!) though still trapped inside the apartment, i was happy to breathe relief, finally deciding to document the moment. These are the people who tried to pacify our worries by lifting our spirits while we waited for news after my dad and brother-in-law decided to take matters into their own hands to look for my sister inside one of the houses submerged in floodwaters in Pasig. They also had affected families to think of, and yet they were still gracious enough to entertain our questions, to keep us calm and to look after us. What was more amazing was when i found out that these people also tried to do their own rescue operation by wading and swimming in the floods to even check on people (other than their families) who were trapped inside the houses. This is a proof that we have never really ran out of good Filipinos. To Kuya Frank Ilagan, Ryan, dr Santos and their friends (please see video), maraming salamat po sa pagtulong ninyo.
