Keith was able to sound like 3 Zaks playing at once.

majestic work by Townsend. Oh yeah.
-
John Alec Entwistle passed away in 2002 !
-
sloppy drumming..

@lptomtom I wonder how Greg Lake would have been on bass with The Who on a ful time basis. I say that since it don't look too encouraging for any ELP reunion tours and album anytime soon.
-
Too quiet... I prefer the 1989 version (TV broadcast of Tommy live, with guest)
-
zak is too calculated on this song. that's the problem.
-
Way too soft. Have him turn it up or get someone else.
-
Birdman....heh heh. Yeah, Birdman. Dig it!

This is my favorite version of Sparks. Purely because of Pete.

Zak's kit sounds much more even, modern and compressed, not to mention he uses a high hat! His fills don't hit your ears in anything like the same way that Moon's do- doesn't mean he isn't playing almost as well!Remember on the Tommy album Pete and John had to play a lot of the drm fills on Sparks because Moon was all over the place. These guys are different great rock drummers from different eras. As a Who fan I feel lucky that they have held on to Zak. He works off of Pete incredibly well

Yeah I miss John's work especially on things like "sparks" where his bass line is definitive WHO.
