  • Bartok's nationality:

    - for the Romanians he was too much a Hungarian..

    - for the Hungarians he was too much a Romanian.

    - for the american he was too much an Eastern-European-barbaric.

I think that's why he was unable to find a real home for himself, no matter how hard he tried..

Beside, it's his music, what matters, not his nationality.

If you try to knead politics into it, it will bite you and will always reason otherwise.

  • I hope you know that the composer was hungarian...

  • i think if the tempo a little faster than this it's better

  • Wonderfull Romanian and Friendship spirit!

  • @allinhungary hahaha. your name also...

  • so what if he is Hungarian? he can still compose romanian folk songs...

  • I feel so proud to be Romanian. This piece of music just captures Romanian essence perfectly.

  • Excellent performance. I listened to it again yesterday again played by the Georghe Enescu Filarmonica in Buchares. I think there is no Romanian on this planet that would remain untouched by hearing these sounds, especially on the 1st of December. Thank you for posting.

  • The good thing about this arrangement, is that the middle string voices really do sound like an accordion, which gives this that special floklore feel. well done!
