  • The ford ranger is just awesome...

  • @Jacoby135, I liked the sound of my 2.9l better than my 4.0l. It was throatier sounding.

  • @Jacoby135 its really hard to make a 4.0 sound like rice

  • Does anyone know how the 4.0 v6 sounds? Does it have a good stock exhaust to it? Or does it sound like a ricer?

  • @codytheworkerguy Ehh I dunno. The 4.6 would be difficult to fit in the Ranger (even though it now fits fine in the Explorer) and won't really be of much use.

The new 3.5 or 3.7 however would work well and could be built into a more low-end biased version for truck use.

  • ranger owner HERE lol you know!

  • in my opinion, they need to drop the 4.0 and put the 4.6 in the ranger, that would be the perfect engine for that truck.

  • Ford has no plans to stop making the Ranger. I think that all the confusion comes from the talk that went around that Ford was going to rename it the F-100 again. It would just be a redesigned small truck with a nice EcoBoost engine, and with a different name, if anything.

  • What they really need to do is redesign the ranger if they did they would sell like hot cakes, i know people who would buy one but don't because their waiting for a redesigned version to come out.

  • now ford says they dont know what theyll do they might redisign from ranger australia
