@davaocityforever It doesn't matter who was backing them, hardcore can never be big. Even hugely influential bands like the Ramones couldn't get anywhere near the commercial success of those mainstream acts.

@bobokk It's who was backing them/liked them. Ric Ocasek, Madonna, Beastie Boys, Rick Rubin. They had multiple big names to guide them, unlike many hardcore bands, and they most likely could have moved upwards with a good producer, lawyer, and manager. We'll never know what they may have turned out with the right guidance but they had plenty of connections.
