I did this one a while back. The song is about Hurricane Katrina. It was done just turning on the recorder and seeing what I say. It's me going through thoughts while strumming. the guitar is a epiphone custom, i have a mic in front of it too which gave it the banjo sound. in listening back, i'm speaking to a person(me uasually) and coaxing the to keep faith and move on.
.I saw online U2's Edge is helping get donations for musicians there. That was the first thing I though of when I heard the news. There will be a whole lot of vintage and current guitars lost. I like bass and drums too. not much of a wind instrument guy, and know that is a big part of the sound there. So i'm sure they need those too.
you can send your old tuba or Strat, a harmonica..anything. contact http://www.musicrising.org to donate.
I haven't, but want to send something. I have a hard time letting any instrument I recorded with go.But will
try to select something worthy of the cause.I'd sell this song for proceeds, but have never sold a song and don't know how to go about it. besides it's kind of a strange song, It's not very direct, it drifts betewen talking to someone, and about something without warning.I do like it though and am happy I made it.
That was an amazing song with alot of heart, thank of posting ; )
