It's a nice airport, but I understand it's not really exciting to have an 8 hours stopover there. I only know Brunei International as a starting or ending point. I quite like it. You'll have a good view on the air traffic from the waiting lounge. In the morning there's quite some traffic.

@danielhduong yes you are allowed to... i took this airline from LHR to MNL bound to Brunei and I had 8 hrs of stopover. And i actually went out coz its too boring in this airport but inmy case i have friends working in brunei so i met up with them while waiting for my flight. :)

I have a question for u all...i'll be traveling to BKK via Brunei and will be transiting for about 6hrs at the airport...am i allowed to leave the airport in this time? Ive never left an airport whilst transiting so i wouldnt have a clue! :(

It is not boring! It is an airport and functional. Bring a book next time or be better prepared! Maybe you should have broken your trip and spent some time sampling Brunei? 18 hours in ANY location would be dull though so I do understand.

This is by far one of the worst airports i have ever been to. I spent 18 hours in this place & there was absolutely nothing to do. The Cafe had the worst microwavable cheeseburgers and the shops...well all 5 of them...
