Just in time for Pi Day! Watch the grand prize winner from the 2007 FJET Talent Show, the amazing Rich Golden, recite 500 digits of pi from memory! The talent show took place in Fukui, Japan on 3/10/07 to raise money to help Sopa, a young girl in Thailand, go to college. This act alone raised over 7000 yen for the cause. Enjoy!

  • @bestdiogoever its prety good but its only above average

  • @bestdiogoever are you using any special methods?

Not to dissapoint you, but yeah, it is - our memory is amazing =D

  • I only 3.14......

  • this is the epitome of nerdiness...but i love it :D

  • I only know 9 digits of pi......

  • ok, can anybody tell me if this is normal? Two weeks ago I was on the internet at 10pm and decided to try out my memory and in around 2 hours memorized around 80 digits of pi and I wasn't even trying to hard... Is it normal?

  • the world record for pi memorization is 60,000+ digits by Chao Lu of china - scary if u ask me.

  • I would drive myself crazy trying to memorize that shit.

  • @Dan14159 i know how you feel... i did a few thousand, i am trying to figure out how to load some youtube videos. however he is still better than 99% of people i have encountered doing pi regardless. the trick is to just look at pi as a set of phone numbers and recognised them in order. if anyone here knows how to load a youtube video with sound let me know, because all my videos came out mute. however he still seems smart, i'm sure he memorised more, he doesn't want to make people feel bad.

  • @pimpmyride666

No we have lives but the 3 at the beginning does not count as we count how far into the decimal places we can memorize.
