Videoclip of Bill Bailey from approximately 1955. A very talented dancer with great balance and control of his feet. I was pretty shocked to see the last few seconds! It raises an interesting question -- who really invented the moonwalk?
This is a fascinating and educational bit of historical video footage.

its a fucking moon walk jesus fucking h christ micheal jackson fans micheal was one of a kind there is no doubt about it but he did nt invent the god damn moonwalk he migt of done it better but that does nt make it so there were probaly hundreds before him
It is definitely the moonwalk. Bailey called it the "backslide". It's obvious it's the same move. I believe his was the first recorded performance of the technique. The whole illusion (pushing forward while walking backward) was done by a number of dancers long before Michael Jackson; it's a fact, so deal with it. In addition, mime artist Marcel Marceau did a move called "walking against the wind" which is pretty much the same technique; again, long before Michael Jackson....

We can see that other people had danced moon walk before Michael Jackson .
Jeez. Grow up. Doesn't diminish what MJ did. He did it slightly differently with a whole different "affect." It's the same damned step though.
i still wanna say
THIS IS NOT A MOON WALK!
