Mario Party 8 - Title Screen

Well this isn't really an opening, so I guess I'll just call this "Title Screen"?

There are more sayings, but I just decided to go with one each from everyone. Speaking of that, some of the characters have really weird phrases. Like Toad for instance he sounds like he's speaking another language instead of saying "Great Choice!"
Hmm... Maybe he's saying "Grade Choice"? As in a Grade Choice Mushroom?

What exactly do you have to do to make Bowser and DK appear? I have unlocked every character and board, beaten every default record (not all of the staff records though), completed star battle arena three times (one more than required), etc and Bowser and DK don´t show up! And nobody knows the answer, not even on Mario Wiki or it´s forums

Actually I'm pretty sure neither of them are playable characters in this game. Instead they were replaced by Blooper and Hammer Bro.

@Mono15140 I know they aren´t playable. I was refering to this title screen. When I start Mario Party 8, the icons for Bowser and DK don´t show up. What I meant is what do you have to do to get this full title screen? (with all character icons including DK and Bowser)

Hmm... You know I have actually no idea either. I tried looking it up but like you said no one seems to know anything about it. Maybe you have to beat all of the staff records.

@Mono15140 Nevermind, I found the answer: they are aded after beating story mode twice, but only show up if the screen is in 16:9 mode, since they are ABOVE the MP8 logo, therefore they don´t show up if you have your wii screen options set in 4:3

@Mono15140 I found it by coincidence when some guy answered it in a youtube video about this game´s title screen. It´s ridiculous how not anyone, not even nintendo themselves, said a thing about it. It was driving me crazy because I thought my game was bugged or something since I couldn´t see DK or Bowser, but all I had to do was play the game on 16:9 :P
