  • Can you please tell me what sounds you're using on it or how you customized them if you did at all? I'm thinking of buying this behemoth of a mini synthesizer soon!

  • @chadinterrupted

I never like factory presets as they are though Micron actually came with few that I'm still keeping! For example, if you want this kind of bass, use simple pad type preset, shave down all effects, fm mod etc except for 4 or 8 pole filter, add no more than 25% analog drift and play few octaves lower, get the envelope right. Tweak until old school enough. It's useful not to use any effects for base patch as in multimode you won't have them or not to the same extent.

  • @rincewind801 Thanks for the insight. I think the coolest sound you're getting that I'm most interested in would have to be the one that kicks in or becomes noticeable around at 1:40 when you adjust the mod/slider bar lol whatever. Whatever layer that is that became noticeable has to be one of the most unique things I've heard come from a keyboard. It's beautiful. I have the Roland SH-201 and have had it forever and I love it to death but I'm looking for something new and LOVE micron so far!

  • @chadinterrupted

That was the same bass sound (or arpeggio of it) with different filter settings, slider does the frequency sweep.

I'm sure you'll be surprised with what this synth can do.

  • this is brilliant! since i first saw this video i wanted a micron so i can do things like this :) do you think € 250,- (about 360 USD) would be a good deal for a used one? check out my channel too! cheers

  • @xbinaryx Thx! Probably not the worst deal but check the main volume on low frequencies and selector knob as these two like to break. Happy synthesizing!

  • wow, very nice i like this :)

  • @rincewind801 I'm sure. Thanks.

  • This is still my favourite. Really it's one of the videos which compelled me to buy an Alesis Micron a few years ago. I come back to listen to it every now and then. I try to make my own Micron music, you can see them on my channel, but somehow it just doesn't turn out as good. Maybe some day you can do an instructional video on how you compose your music? That would be insightful.

  • I am not a fan of micron but you made my day with this massive sound. Well done mate!

  • Great job brother. I really love your music. Hope you make more.
