hit it reasonably well went bout 6 yards to far though and was about 5 yards offline to the left though that was most likely the wind

Your right arm flies out too much. Keep it tucked and your hands wont be so flat at the top of the swing. Just try it. Not trying to say I am mr. expert but I am experiencing the same in my swing. Your distance in accuracy will increase tremendously.

the cause for the ball going 5 years left might have to do with your follow through. you seem to move left after you hit the ball which might be causing a pull. try swing the club towards the target and keeping a constant spine angle through contact
