In this video I review the steps to make an emulsion lift using Fuji instant film.

Make sure you use very hot water, otherwise lifting the emulsion from the backing will take quite a while.

You can adhere the emulsion onto most surfaces using gel medium or modge podge.

Don't have a Land Camera, no problem, check out my Instant Camera Primer: http://youtu.be/aDxctSuG5-4

And if you prefer transfers over lifts: Fuji Transfer Video: http://youtu.be/nKNpVDor-mM

Thanks so much and that's awesome that you made some lifts of your own! Yea, transfers can be very very tricky, there's a lot that can go wrong with them. Anyway I do plan on doing a transfer video within the next couple of weeks, so be looking for it. Also, if you get a chance I'd love to see what you made from your lifts!

Thanks for the kind words! I've done transfers before, but it was years ago and I was using the old original Polaroid 100 pack film. I hope to be doing a transfer video soon using the Fuji film. Good luck with your photos!

I'm using the same film, but I'm struggling to get the lifts to adhere to glass... Do toy use something to help them stick?

thank you SolRx. i'm glad to hear you're thinking of making a transfer video! i haven't lifted too much cool yet - just some bad photos to practice on. i plan on doing some better photos soon though.
