Blake Smith of New Britain Township passed away suddenly Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009.
Born in Lansdale, he was the son of Steven Smith and Colleen Bendesky.
Blake enjoyed playing club volleyball at college and frequently participated in Great American Volleyball tournaments at the Jersey shore.
Whenever he had the chance, Blake would go snowboarding with his longtime friends.
A certified lifeguard, Blake spent his summers protecting the lives of others.
Blake graduated from Central Bucks High School South and was a sophomore at Temple University.
He is survived by his father, Steven, and his wife, Donna; his mother, Colleen and her husband, Bob; his sisters, Seneca and Haley; and his brothers, Grant and Kent.
Family and friends are invited to visit the Smith family home in New Britain beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, to commemorate Blake's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Blake may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation online at www.jdrf.org.
