So exquisitely perfect to see Reagan doing the introduction for this, along with his doppelganger Art Linkletter. Fess Parker and Buddy Ebsen look great in their beards. Too bad Parker didn't wear one for his inferior "Daniel Boone" series. The musical sequence here is great, complete with Ebsen teasing us with a few wondrous dance steps (Ebsen was one of Hollywood's greatest dancers), just as he did intermittently later on "The Beverly Hillbillies."
Yep those were the days. None of the political correctness we have today. I cannot imagine seeing that today on TV. You would have every anti gun nutcase out there rallying that this glorifies guns. Thanks Walt, Fess, Buddy and IdahoAmerican for this clip of what is now part of American History. RIP Fess
I don't remember Fess as Crockett, but I do remember him as Daniel Boone in the '60s. Thanks for coming into our home every week Fess, and giving us things to shoot for!
Who is that at 7:16 ?
