Cynthia has a rare genetic disorder known as Crouzon syndrome, which is characterized by a premature fusion of the head bones of a developing child. Cynthia finally got her wish for a new face, thanks to Gilardino, Montes, and their medical team at the Montreal Children's Hospital, who performed a complicated craniofacial procedure that was the first of its kind in Quebec.
