  • The best Laguioles have 12C27 steel. If they have a common 440 steel then are in the medium quality level, beautiful and authentic French if it's made by R.David, but be careful, most 440 Laguioles are from China

  • @newhuskytwenty I've boughtr it 20 years ago. China was not a probelm at that time. The most of them (knives) were not marked with any type of steel anywayi really appreciated yours info!..

  • ne ho 4 di questi coltelli:)

  • @burronia You know... past week-end I were in the French Pays Basque looking for a 9 cmts blade Laguiole. Most of them were from China, today the only way to be sure about its origen is the kind of steel they have, often the Chinese replicas have French words as" L'eclaire". Best use 440, worst 420, but never a sadnwik 12c70

  • OH thanx Chris! sorry for qulaity and italian language..i really love them both..the R.David is an unique version, the first "expensive knife"i 've bought. I love the Herbertz cause is a very strong folder and, you know, i love the german style blade. Tchuss Chriss! happy to know you.
