kent green, ernie rockelman and dale pantalione wrote and directed this short musical entitled "musicals are gay" for the Philadelphia 48 hour film festival. each team picked a genre out of a hat (we almost cried when we ended up picking musical!!) and were assigned a line "I DID THAT LAST TIME" and a character "KEVIN O'MALLEY, HOME INSPECTOR" (played by crackton's mikey t.) and a prop "LOTION".
we were given 48 hours to write, shoot, edit and all that crap. not trying to get sympathy points here, but picking the musical genre meant that we had to have most the story be done in song... so we had to write all the music... and we had to rhyme a lot and have song structure... and we had to hope to find actors that can sing... but, most important, we had to STAY AWAKE.
shouts out to kumar dari, brandi stephenson, dave odonnell, carissa schanely, and michael thompson. you guys rock!
for the record, we won nothing.
