  • This isn't hot and cold air movement, it's pressure

    Hot air expands, when the egg is on top and the hot air cools, it reduces in pressure, and that's what sucks the egg in.

    If it was to do with heat risig and cold falling, you wouldn't be able to do this with the buttle upside down , try it for yourself, light a piece of paper (ge careful) and put it in the bottle, put the egg on the neck and invert the bottle.

    and yes it needs to be peeled.

    minimise exploding eggs by wetting the neck
