angryxbot: About those machetes. Police were busy taking pics and videos on Mar.14. They got a pic of a monk with a Chinese style machete. Suspicious. At least one of the "Tibetans" pictured with such a knife was positively identified as a policeman in Tibetan disguise. This is a fact.

Yes SOME young Lhasans were violent that day. The monks were never "out for blood." PAP was violent to them before that, and it still is. NONVIOLENT protesters are being tortured to death TODAY.

There was Tibetan violence on March 14. The Chinese violence against monks peacefully walking, sitting and chanting started on March 10. The Chinese violence against peaceful protest continues until today.

I doubt any French "forced him to go." I hope he's going because the CCP rudely attacked him in their newspapers and declared him unwelcome.

If Chinese don't believe Olympics 2008 BELONGS to them, how can they be of the overwhelming opinion (from a recent poll) that another head of state is "not welcome"? You said it yourself. He's "unwelcomed by the Chinese people." For expressing his point of view.
