This Roto-Sphere neon sign in Shreveport, LA was designed and built by Warren Milks of Bossier City, LA. He made approximately 234 of them from 1960-1971. Only about 15 of them still exist today. For more about them, see this webpage:

It's great to see one of these that works. I read that the idea for these probably came from an animation, in the opening of an old TV show, called "Playhouse 90".

the albert pik motel looked great on interstate 65 (near UofL)  the motel is still there but new name.

it looks like that sign by Murrell's on King's Hwy. haven't lived there since 2006. it does look familiar, though.

correct me if I'm wrong but is that one at the neon sign place in N. Shreveport? or is something new? I havent lived there since November of 2007 (moved to Montana)
