@filmdapeople Notes : HF100 and AVCHD . you need the cineform neoscene or Coreavc codec .Then you transcode then edit that.
The fastest quadcore you can get may eliminate the jerkines.AVCHD is a very powerful H264 compression scheme -except it relies on the processor to do the work!
I can just here canons engineers go "not my problem!" ALSO if you shoot with a higher shutter 250 or more the picture will be sharper .remember the HF100 was use for some Hero shots in "Crank2 High Voltage"

I have an hf 100. Uploading to utube in raw AVCHD gives me a really nice quality in normal mode but if I switch to HD in utube the quality is even better but the picture is very jerky. Your video plays very smooth with very minor jerking even when I go to HD in utube. What did you transcode to before uploading to utube?...john

AVCHD IS JUST TO STORE FILES ,NOT FOR EDIT !!! Trans coded to AVI files with NEO SCENE. Edited in Premiere Pro CS4, Color graded with Magic Bullet looks. THANKS.

The color in this video is stunning! Did you use any filters or do any color editing post production, or is the dramatic color a result of shooting in 24p? I'm getting an HF100 soon and would love to be able to achieve this level of quality. thanks for posting!

Thanks , some filters cs4. 24p Cinema mode is ok , stil you will need some color corrections.
