Have been messing around seeing if I could get close to the Slash's AFD tone on a Marshall JCM2000 TSL 100 Head.

I'm playing an Epiphone Les Paul standard, with a Dunlop Crybaby Wah pedal toe part down for a treble boost, but I only use that for the pinch harmonics in Nightrain, near the beginning of the video.

Ask me if you want the settings for it!
Also ignore bad playing :)

  • I want the settings fot that tone, would you write them for me? thanks

  • @bautivigna Yeah, I'm currently in Canada, I'll write them when I'm back, although the settings I use now (which are much better) are different to the settings in this video, but I'll give you the better settings ha :)

  • It's way too smooth. Are you on your rhythm pickup? Also maybe trying to crank it or use an attenuator

  • @FabC87 Yeah I know, I am making another one in a bit, which is a lot more brighter

  • @NWONoWorldOrderNWO oh rly ? but you are deleted haha

  • too much drive, sounds too warm man.

  • Fail. dude, you need to use a les paul on front pickup through 2203 full stack and tube screamer; turn TS-808 level to full, tone 5,drive zero) and a lil reverb and (VERY soft analougue delay through the fx loop.

    EQ like this:

    Presence 4

    Mids 6

    bass 6

    Treble 6

    master at least to 6

    pre amp volume Dimed

watch my video here. it sounds exactly like the sweet child o mine intro tone using this gear at those settings. /watch?v=Hrr7HB5BCLU

  • After this play the actual song for sound comparison. Still sounds great though, love Marshall.

  • es night train no appetite for destruction esa cancion no existe es el nombre del album idiota

  • what cab is this?

  • Awesome :D needs a bit more reverb

  • i think with alnico ii pickups you'd sound just like him
