they should need a warrent, signed by a judge in order to access the registry.With warrents on file the effectiveness (or lack there of) will be apparent.

I was taught how to handle a gun when I was very young. Education is the key. I respect and hadle a gun with the utmost care. Cars don't make people bad drivers. Guns don't make people murderers.

@edvvard1 Gun school? WTF are you smoking? Pierre Eliot Trudeau publicly said it when he was in power. That's all you need. Numerous politicians (Allan Rock for one) have stated PUBLICLY that only cops and soldiers should have guns. So explain to me how that does NOT represent the powers that be, wishing to disarm citizens. The problem with the world is that there are idiots like you who continue to deny something when it's right in front of your face.

What do they teach you in gun school? That the govt wants to take away your guns? That it's their surreptitious long term goal to have an unarmed citizenry so the one world govt can be our overlords to rule us? This girl is using assumptions that it's accepted knowledge how the police are requited to do a search when in reality she has no clue. Do everyone a favor and before you present something as fact do some research first. That way you won't get labelled a lying useless c*nt.

Totally false ! Being a cop for more than 22 years in the province of Quebec, if I want to access the information related to the gun registry when I stop a car or when I deal with a citizen , I must physically make that request on the computer. I think it would be a good thing to sit in a police cruiser and look how it works before presenting bureaucrates facts that aren't exactly true!

Nope, being fifeteen doesn't make you a school shooter. One of my friends sons is around that age and he is very safe and resonsible with guns. I think the key is for parents to teach their kids to respect firearms and use them safely when they are young.
