Someone should make an AMV with Fire Bomber playing "All Along The Watchtower".

which bsg is this from ?

Why dose Skull Suade leader always fall in love with the ship's frist officer, and not just Hicaru/Rick and Misa/Lisa, but in Macross Frontier it also hapens, and in Macross Plus too.

the best anime of all time and a true classic!

Jejejeje yeha I see, still you said decent, Max was as his name implied a Genius!
It looks similar, except Athena couldn't also be a giant, and remember BSG is still bleaker than Macross.... not Gundam bleak but yeah..
-
Actually they did, Helo was based on Max, and Athena was based on Milia. Max was a great pilot, Helo was decent with a gun. Milia wanted to destroy Max but ended up marrying him, the Cylons had Athena sneak aboard the Galactica so Helo could impregnate her with a human-cylon baby, but she ended up staying with him.
So yeah, there was a Max and Milia-esque relationship in Galactica. Alot of Galactica's characters resemble the Macross cast.

Jajajaja indeed, but I hear the the main macross guy doesn't want to deal with Hikaru or Misa or Minei again...\
Well you seem to forget just how awesome max was, in fact if Battlestar Galactica could have used a little Max in the show, would have made the end of the world much more tolerable!

Ah, the knife fight. Good times. 'Virgin Road' was probably the worst episode of the series in terms of animation.
I understand that it was necessary for the story and it helped to develop the interspecies relations between Zentrans and humans in the sequels.
However, I'd like someone out there, even if it wasn't the original animators, to at least to remake that brief segment, just to see how it'd look once again. I'm surprised Max was even a decent swordsman to begin with, o_O'.

Yeah but remember Macross had a troubled and heap production even for it's time, remember the knife fight episode? It's charming but the animation hasn't aged well, the designs have, just feeling a bit too 80's for some!

I think the dated visuals on either series are charming and just funny to watch at times, especially with the consistency errors.
Plus, it gives them that old wartime movie feel, since 'Space War I' has a lot of parallels to World War I, and the Zeon War of Independence has obvious references to World War 2 i.e. the Zabi family = the Nazis.
It kinda fits. Btw, the writers of the re-imagined BSG series are Robotech fans... they got a lot of ideas from MACROSS/Robotech...

i have a frakking new idea for a cross-over:
BATTLESTAR MACROSS?
vipers have gerwalk and battloid modes.
battlestar flight pods rotate like arms?
cylons breed giant copies?
hmmm....
