  • Being deranged and strange as I am, I decided to take a close, hard look at each of the four cards. You can't really tell in the 240p and 360p uploads, but they ARE all subtely different; not different enough for it to matter under normal circumstances, but different none-the-less. If forced to rank them, I'd say Van Patten's is the best, followed by Allen, then Bryce and finally Bateman. It's interesting that Bateman's was the standout worst whereas the other three were much harder to rank...

  • @SirBroadsword Personally I prefer Bateman's, followed by Allen's, then Van Patten, then Bryce. Graphic design is always subjective though, different people like different things :)

  • @g4be94 That's a topic of discussion and open to individual interpretation. Some say they could all be VP's of different departments, others think they may not actually be VP's but just put it on their cards to look better.

Personally I like to believe it's a story-telling device that demonstrates the yuppie culture when everyone looked and acted the same (one of the main themes of the story).

They all have acquisitions spelt wrong too :)

  • Why do all the cards have vice president written on them?

  • Bryce still wins

  • Note that they all spelled "acquisitions" wrong; they left out the c.

  • allen's has a watermark....enough said

  • @BigOldToe Keep in mind that Bateman doesn't have raised lettering, or a textured card. Unless he neglected to mention is, which is extremely unlikely.

  • If anybody here works on Wall Street (I do). You'll know that at some firms, EVERYONE is a VP... take Goldman Sachs. You have analysts and associates (low level), then basically everyone jumps up to VP... so you actually do have a ton of VPs.

The question is, did the movie spell acquisitions wrong on purpose? I like to think that it was supposed to be wrong in the movie - that with all the scrutiny they missed one of the few substantive bits of information on the whole cards.

  • 1 Dislike? 1 Person aint got a table at dorsia

  • what the f!!!! its just buissness cards!!

  • Bateman, Batman... smells fishy.

  • @Raguleader Possibly, since the whole story revolves around the idea of fitting in with others.

  • @Raguleader that is a brilliant point
