Not Necessarily Callin Tef Out...

Been up all nite, acutally coming off 48 hours and now this, a sista can't get a break or so much as a thank you...

This is a continuation of a discussion I got into with Tef Poe on Facebook, when he posed the question, "Question why follow or Add a local rapper, producer, or Deejay if you do not actively come to shows or support the mov'ment? " rightfully so,

To which my response was , " That's like asking me why maintain stlhiphop.com if the artists, djs and industry cats its supposed to help rather use sites like myspace, twitter and fb instead of building up the city's #1 and oldest resource for indie hip hop artists, not to mention the #1 search result for any variation of St. Louis hip hop and being an official itunes, windows media and nokia online radio station...the movement's over 1500 strong,1500 actually interested in local music... everybody from platnium and grammy nominated heavies to up coming artists and even still I see a ton of local artists on fb who aren't on the site, despite the fact its the first place anybody seeking St. Louis artists go...Industry Standard and Joka said it best, artists are blind to what's right in front of their face (well screen)."

Then all hell broke loose... not really, but it did turn into a pretty interesting back and forth. I'm not calling Tef Poe out, I'm simply showing him (and others who feel we ain't worth their time) the power of the site they continuously overlook in search for greener pastures elsewhere.
