American Teen is the touching and hilarious Sundance hit produced by Paramount Vantage that follows the lives of five teenagers - the jock, the princess, the heart-throb, the rebel and the geek - in one small town of Indiana through their senior year of high school.
Filming daily for 10 months, filmmaker Nanette Burstein ('On the Ropes', 'The Kid Stays in the Picture') developed a deep understanding of her subjects. The result is a film that goes beyond the enduring stereotypes of high school to render complex young people trying to find their way into adulthood.
With extraordinary intimacy and a great deal of humor, American Teen captures the pressures of growing up - pressures that comes from one's peers, one's parents and, not least, oneself.

@CharlietheBiscuit i agree. this looks very interesting but i would also like to see this kind of documentary made in a big city school.

Movies like this are always based in small towns. They should go to a larger CITY in Indy. It would be vastly different. It looks good though.
