Awesome Achievers

An auditorium full of parents, community members, and special guests came together from neighborhoods across the city to watch 300 Boston Public School students perform their original spoken word lyrics centered on the theme, "My Promise to the Future". The winning team at this event (Roosevelt) earned the exciting privilege of working alongside alt-rock band, "The Great Unknown", from December 8-10, in order to write an original song and produce a professionally recorded track, to be presented at Temple Sound & Stage in Jamaica Plain on December 10. This was the Roosevelt's first year with SCORES.
