Commenting on the threatened strike action from the RMT, the Mayor said: Here we are in London trying to do our best to cope with the most challenging economic climate for a long time, and I cannot believe the RMT leadership are asking their members, the majority of whom have not voted for this strike, to take part in this ludicrous and unnecessary disruption to our city." www.london.gov.uk/view_press_release.jsp?releaseid=22199

I live in London and use the tube every day. I don't believe it is safe in the hands of Boris and his pals in the private sector.
London commuters look to the RMT to defend the interests of workers and passengers. Keep up the good work!

Boris! Stop publishing misinformation!
Only 16% of RMT members voted against the strike.
The so-called '5% pay demand' was made last year and equivalent to the rate of inflation at the time.
TfL were trying to make staff accept a 5 year pay deal based on 0% !!!!
YOU deliberately provoked the strike.
