How to make an icon with paint.

In this video, you will learn how to make a custom icon with paint, in a very easy way!.
1) Start paint.
2) Go to Image, then Attributes.
3) Choose 32 in both "width" and "pixels"
4) Choose "Pixels" in "Units", and "Colors" in "Colors".
5) Now magnify the white box to the fullest.
6) Draw anything.
7) Now save the picture.
8) While saving the picture, select the "Type" as "24-bitmap".
9) Also when you are naming the picture, put " .ico " at the end of the name.
10) Now save the picture, by clicking on the save button.

2nd Part:
Applying the Custom icon.
1) Right click on any icon of anything, for example, folders, etc.
2) Go to customize, which will be present at the top of the pop up menu.
3) Click on " Customize icon".
4) Then browse the icon, from where you saved it.
5) Then select it, and apply it.

This is how you make and apple a custom icon.

Why do we use, the dimensions as 32x32?
We, may choose dimensions as anything, most probably, by which your icons would work are the multiples of 16, i.e. 16x16, 32x32, and 64x64, and so on like that. UV ( Urbano Ville) recommends 32x32, because it gives full colors and does not eat much of your pc speed.

Why do we put " .ico " at the end of the name?
we put, " .ico " at the end of the name because, "ico" is abbreviated for " Icon file", which are used for icons.

see, it is not ikin it is icon, and ".ico" is the extension for icon files, and icons are small images which can be used to depict any file,folder or a drive or even a device. for example, the image you see for a folder can also become an image of a ball!
