As an astonishingly unusual homeless violinist (with a laptop), I've got to point out:

Very few journalists are interested in helping homeless musicians (that's not their job.)

The flick, though entertaining and well done, "enhanced" many truths in order to be more...entertaining. (Okay. I liked it anyway.)

The music "profession" has become more dubious than ever before.

jamie foxx is a hella good actor. he should get as many awards in this as he can. seriously, i only saw the commericial and i think this.

and i know, i play cello; i can transpose music on intruments i can't even play because i already play an instrument.

Actually stormstryk. Correct me if I'm wrong (because I MIGHT be wrong) but 10 hours a day for 4 month is not 400 hours. Thats only 40 days. If you do the math...

(10 x 30) x 4 = 1200

So I'm assuming he did a hell of a lot of practising.

Don't forget that Jamie Foxx is a musician too. He plays piano so when u have music in u no matter what instrument u originally play u can learn other instruments faster than d average person. IMO.

I give thanks 2 God 4 d gift of music(real music). I play guitar and I'm learning piano. its not ez but achieveable.
