Check out the new Lionel Corporation Tinplate Standard Gauge 381SS "Brute" bi-polar electric. Made by MTH, this is the first time the Brute has ever been manufactured, except for the prototype that was built by Lionel in the 1920's. This engine is HUGE and it's amazing! • thats nice i love trains but i wanted to ask you why in the world would MTH want to put lionel name on there packing or there trains that like lionel makeing a great set and putting the MTH name on it i dont get it

  • @grizzleybearz282004 ecause MTH is making replicas of the original Lionel trains from the 1920's and 1930's. Having the Lionel name on them makes them look more like the originals. These are reproductions, not new MTH models. Lionel does the same thing when they make American Flyer trains. They're made by Lionel, but they say "American Flyer" on them.

  • how many motors are in there? it probally strains to pull itself which i think is 30 pounds alone.

  • @Jimmyyaesu There are 2 motors. No, it doesn't strain at all. Runs smooth as silk.

  • Is there going to be prizes?

  • Um, sure. You just won a speed boat.

  • Made in China I presume, nice job but for me if Lionel aren't made in the USA they are not authentic,I'm a Brit and wouldn't dream of buying a Chinese made Rolls Royce,it would feel very odd, (if I could afford one........) nothing against The Chinese people though..

I only buy American made Lionel and Marx prewar tin/diecast they did a good job, quality is excellent and still running very well.

    Dont like plastic trains either...

  • @esiegel76 ok i hear what your saying about the repros and i knew about american flyer lionel got ownership of american flyer along time ago

  • @esiegel76 and the good thing about locomotives is that when you build them, weight isn't an issue because of the traction

  • thats awesome....i have the train thats pictured on your box : )

  • Holy S!@* thats huge! Alot bigger than my 350-E Hiawatha Lionel reissue passenger set! Which I believe was made by Mike Wolf for lionel back in 1988. Enjoy man, and thanks for your awsome videos!

  • Had an original tinplate pre war train set my father gave me. Similar engine, but shorter with passenger cars. My mother disliked my intrest in trains and thought that they were a waste. She had given the set along with others to a local goodwill when I was younger. Wish I still had it since my father past.
