Proof that the Tacitus Manuscript, known as Mii, or the Second Medicean Manuscript, which is kept in the Laurentian library,in Italy, was altered. This is the oldest Tacitus manuscript in existance. It is claimed to date to the 11th century and is the source, from which all other Tacitus manuscripts have been copied. When viewed under black light, it can be clearly seen that the word chrestianos was changed to christianos in the passage know as annales 15:44.

  • The problem with this thinking is that nobody was questioning the existence of Christ back then. That is something atheist have invented recently. Therefore, the logic that monks all over the world got together to insure ever copy of Tacitus was properly forged isn't logical. Were they thinking ahead to modern atheism? They were out to get you? Believing that every historical document that mentions Christ is fake is clearly unreasonable thinking.

  • @thewordofgod2010, "But Christ — if He has indeed been born, and exists anywhere — is unknown, and does not even know Himself, and has no power until Elias come to anoint Him, and make Him manifest to all. And you, having accepted a groundless report, invent a Christ for yourselves, and for his sake are inconsiderately perishing.” Justin Martyr (Dialogue with Trypho Chapter 8)

  • You know that it is impossible that Tacitus could have actually wrote this. These manuscripts are from the Byzantine period, written by monks, and copied from earlier versions of Tacitus.

  • Yes, no one ever claimed that this particular manuscript was an original copy, penned by Tacitus himself. However, it is also important to note that it may not actually be a copy of an earlier text by Tacitus either. No one ever spoke of a work titled Annals by Tacitus, or ever quoted the work prior to it being "found" in the 15th century. It is possible that the entire work is a fraud. This and many other works were "found" after the invention of the printing press.

  • so who were the chr"e"stianos that were blamed for the fire?

  • Unknown, however I did come across a few paragraphs by Tony Bushby that suggested that they were cannibals, but I was unable to confirm that-he has access to the Vatican Libraries. We also know that Suetonius stated, "Since the Jews constantly made disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus, he expelled them from Rome", however that happened during the days of Claudius. Many books were destroyed by the early church, in their zeal, so we may never know.

  • Glad I found this! I really like your video :)

  • @thewordofgod2010 It is not unreasonable - there is absolutely no proof of Jesus, or any of the apostles or of a Roman trial. Can anyone produce any evidence? The enormity of such a lie and its horrific impact on genuine believers is shockingly cruel, yet it mirrors the false charges against the Jews and bad doctrines of racism also embedded in the Gospels and Quran, passed off as Godly revelation.

  • @ForBibletruth - TRUE. It has been conjectured that they were a forgery of Poggio Brocciolini in the 15th century. And the Annals were indeed never quoted until the 15th century.

  • @ForBibletruth

    excellent point

  • Well done! I accidentally pressed 'dislike' instead of 'like' and that really bugs me because this is really very good!!! Thank you.
