LMS Stanier Black Five 44932 on it's inaugural run on The Waverley, from York to Carlisle powers through the Flosh heading for Skipton and Carlisle on 22 August 2010. The loco could well be in the charge of driver Ron Smith of West Coast Railway Co. 44932 was built in 1945 to a pre war design and entered BR service in 1949. It's great to see a such a successful design classic back out in steam.

  • @SteffanLlwyd - Thanks. I agree, she was really shifting! Makes you realise what an effective loco the Stanier Black 5 is - especially when 'as new.'
