@MrSexycookie Hip Hop in itself means Kool Party? Watch the channel 4 documentary 'The Hip-Hop Years' , here on YouTube, & hear Kool Herc himself tell us where the name Hip-Hop came from! You're right about it being a social thing, and about partying, but does that mean we shouldn't accept the intellect & musical genius of the likes of BDP, Public Enemy, etc, just because they weren't rapping "let's all be friends man"?!

@MrSexycookie hip hop is a huge tree, with soo many branches, each branch being, mc'ing, breaking, graffiti, dj'ing, and on these branches have smaller branches called twigs.. mc'ing has lots of twigs,, rap, mc'ing, gangsta rap, party rap. i may be wrong but thats what its like to me. you put a seed in the ground it grows with time and watering it. peace! it is what it is.
