This camera record the audio in AC3 format so your editing software need support for that. I found a .dll file for adobe premiere pro so my sound works now.
When you edit, some programs show 4:3 cause of the .mod files from this camera. To solve this use Cyberlink powerdirector or adobe premiere pro or the software that comes with the camera.
In premiere pro right click on the clip and choose "interpret footage" and then change that aspect ratio to 16:9.
when you click the "make movie" button (i dont have pro, so it might be a bit different) it brings up screens asking where to save it, what format, etc. when on the screen choosing the format. directly underneath the format drop down menu there is another drop down menu which will probably say "NTSC DV video" (or something similar). you need to chose "default template" at the top. it this doesnt work reply me back, but hopefully this helped =)
I bought an FS100 two mounths ago and I am very pleased with the resualt when filming in daylight. Nearly FullHD-quality. But I think the camera "fail" a bit when the light is darker. And I also have problem to play the video in widescreen. It is only VCL-player to use - Windows media player push the screen to 4:3. WHY?
Do you have the same problem?
Another thing is the sound - When I edit the movies with Sony Vegas Pro, it doesn´t work at all.

Hey Mortimer62: I thought the highest resolution of this camera was 720X480...
Is that correct, and not a typo, that you took this at 720X576?

Wow great quality. Especially when the coffee is being emitted by the machine!

Stofvod: I've seen in a few places that it's as simple as renaming the .mod file to .mpeg!
