It wasn't the record company. Tom Scholz refused to release the album because "it wasn't finished." He's a micromanaging OCD dick. Don't believe me? Ask the sound guy he fired HOURS before the first show of the 2008 reunion tour. The opening acts for that show were cancelled, and Boston was THIS close to not going on until someone backstage had the balls to stand up to him and tell him to get his ass on stage and stop being such a dick.

Interesting,Barry,Fran And Sid are nowhere to be seen..Their 1st Album,Great piece of work,start to finish...To bad all us fans got robbed of the 5 years of material between the 1st and 2nd albums.Fuckin' Record Companies.When are they gonna figure it out that it's not all about them..

@FlaccidSWE Yeh, like Journey is replacing Steve with imitators. It's disgusting! I don't like Journey anymore for that reason alone! At LEAST Van Halen didn't try to 'replace' David when he left. They got ANOTHER singer not a replacement like Journey and Boston did and this singer for Boston sounds like a pale Brad. Don't like them anymore for that reason. I wouldn't pay to see them having a fake Brad singing.... nor Journey. I saw Van Halen though back in the day when Sammy was singing though.
